A NEW MODE OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS DURING PALILULA NIGHT

 On the occasion of the traditional cultural events during "PALILULA NIGHT 2013" on Sunday, 02.June 2013, in order to celebrate the city of Nis saints day "St. Constantine and Helen" and the celebration of the jubilee of 1700 years of the Edict of Milan, there is a plan for closing the following streets to traffic for security reasons, according to the following schedule:Episkopska street (the intersection of ul. Stanoja Bunuševca-St.. Nicholas church, to the intersection with the street Božidarčeva Palilulska-ramp) in the period from 15.00 pm, 02.06.2013. 03.06.2013 up to 04.00 hours.

SUCCESFULL PREPARATION FOR FINALS

 Palilula Municipality-Nis encourages the development of cultural and artistic expression, and supports talented students in elementary and secondary schools. KARAOKE Fest is one of many events that annually gather hundreds of popular music performers, recruited in primary schools. Thanks to the support of Municipality of Palilula, the necessary conditions are provided for the selection of singers and studying the possibilities and potential of students in the educational institutions of the municipality. Participants and organizers of this program in primary school "Branko Miljkovic", were visited by Boban Dzunic, president of the Municipality of Palilula.

PALILULA NIGHT - IN THE HEART OF PALILULA

 Musical and theatrical program "In the heart of Palilula" Nis, annual exhibition of artists' RENAISSANCE Byzantium, the promotion of folk arts and crafts, socializing, film review of archaeological and environmental film" EKOpolis fest. Traditionally, in the framework of celebrating the city of Nis Holy Emperor Constantine and Empress Jelena Day, Palilula Municipality organizes "PALILULA NIGHT 2013" at Sunday 02.June. This musical and theatrical program, which takes place for more than a decade in Palilula, a kind of promotion of the Nis meeting place for people from Nis to the eventful cultural program, the old, spiritual and pop music.

COMPETITION: LIVING-GREEN RETURN TO NATURE

 Palilula Municipality, in partnership with the Bulgarian Municipality IHTIMAN, announced a prize competition under the theme: LIVING-GREEN RETURN TO NATURE. The competition is designed for students in elementary and secondary schools (primary school category, students in the 1-4 and 5-7 grade students; categories of high school students from grades 1-3) that have educational activity on the territory of Municipality of Palilula in Nis. KARAOKE FEST – PALILULA 2013

 Municipality of Palilula-Nis is encouraging the development of cultural and artistic expression, and supports talented students in elementary and secondary schools. “Karaoke Fest” is one of the events that annually gathers hundreds of performers of popular music. A new cycle of events will start on Tuesday 21st of May 2013, at 12:30 am at the elementary school "Bubanjski heroji". It is expected that the President of Palilula Boban Džunić greets the participants of the "KARAOKE Fest 2013" and to open the competition.

“SUCCESS”- NEW PROJECT OF MUNICIPALITY OF PALILULA

 Under the Second Call of IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia, Municipality of Palilula project is approved, titled "SUCCESS", which will be implemented during the next two years with the Partnership with the Municipality of Svoge, Bulgaria, and in cooperation with the Bulgarian Foundation "Sport without borders". On this occasion, in Municipality of Palilula, there was first meeting of project teams from two municipalities. According to the president of Municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić, the project "SUCCESS" will be focused on improving the quality of life and strengthening the sustainable development of the border region through sport and the promotion of cooperation between the two cities in the area of youth, social and educational issues.

FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE

 National Association of Hemophilia suffering patients-branch Nis, under the auspices of Municipality of Palilula-City of Nis, organized from 10-12. May 2013, in the "Tami Residence" Hotel, International workshop for specialists in physical medicine and physiotherapy titled "Improving access to physiotherapy treatment of people with hemophilia”. The workshop is intended to professionals who deal with problems of persons with hemophilia and patients suffering from hemophilia and the media, stressed Vladimir Elijah, president of the Hemophilia Society of Serbia and prof. Dr. Ivona Stankovic, director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

BACK TO THE NATURE

 Under the motto LIVING GREEN-BACK TO THE NATURE, there was a press conference held at Hotel “Tami Residence” In Nis, and a first workshop in the framework of the project LIVING GREEN. This project was funded from the IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia Program, and presidents from municipalities of Ihtiman and Palilula, Kaloyan Iliev Angelov and Boban Dzunic spoke about project activities during press conference. Mr Atanas Krstin, Consul of Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Nis spoke about the importance of regional cooperation, especially local governments and civil society in Serbia and Bulgaria.

 During the occasion of "Victory in Europe Day-9th of May" and Bulgarian army national holiday (St. George Day), on the location of the monument of the Bulgarian Armed Forces in Nis, dedicated to the fallen soldiers in the final part of the fight against the German invaders in the former Yugoslavia, and which was built in 1948. in the Nis settlement of Ledena Stena, delegation of the Bulgarian Embassy in Belgrad, delegation Palilula-Nis and the National Council of the Bulgarian national minority in Serbia laid wreaths on the monument.

HOW TO “LIVE GREEN”?

 Delegation of Municipality of Palilula, led by Mayor Boban Džunić visited last week Ihtiman municipality in Bulgaria for the promotion and agreement on the implementation of the partnership project “Living Green" in the CBC Bulgaria-Serbia.
Kaloyan Ilyev Angelov, mayor of Ihtiman informed the media representatives and leaders of the Serbian Municipality of Palilula of activities over the next year to supervise the implementation of the project “Living Green". -We want to raise awareness of the citizens of Ihtiman on issues related to the environment such as biodiversity conservation, energy efficiency - the application of renewable energy, and climate change - said Angelov.

"MODERNSPORT" IN PASI POLJANA

Primary school "King Peter I", a branch of school in the settlement village of Pasi Poljana, thanks to Palilula project "The promotion of international cooperation through the modernization of social infrastructure in the field of sport in the municipalities of Palilula and Botevgrad," got, at the beginning of May holiday time, modern sports terrains, on an area of 4,400 square meters for volleyball, basketball and handball; tennis court, jogging paths, long jump, running track.
